Street furniture which provides heat or cold depending on the weather outside
GRUPO SAPJE has, for over 30 years, been contributing to the development of energy systems based on quality, energy savings and conservation of the environment, researching the most efficient energy systems for application to all industrial and business sectors, official bodies and society in general.
The group has its own laboratory, Enerterra, the first experimental laboratory in La Rioja dedicated to the research, development and promotion of energy efficiency. A pioneering laboratory in Spain whose main activity is the development of geothermal power.
Some of the services of the Grupo Sapje are: energy projects, solar geothermal power, solar thermal panels, industrial cooling, advanced applications in fluids, fire protection, maintenance, etc.
Urbanhot is a kind of street furniture (seats, bus shelters, play parks, terraced stands, handrails, etc.) able to provide a set temperature (hot or cold) to suit the outdoor temperature using renewable or conventional energy.
Urbanhot works through the energy which comes from the ground using geothermal heat (or from the sun via solar thermal panels) which extracts the energy necessary to produce the comfort temperature – whether hot or cold.
Through geothermal power, Urbanhot becomes a reservoir of heat and/or cold. Through solar power, it becomes a reservoir of heat.
Urbanhot is highly versatile in its possible applications. Urbanhot is integrated the city and forms part of it and can be installed in its parks, squares, bus shelters, railway and bus stations, private housing estates, hospitals, day-care centres, rest homes, churches, sports and leisure centres, ski resorts, fun parks, hotels, large resorts, spas, etc.
